The nurses couldn't comprehend what was happening at the time either. The newly born babies woke up, squirmed their way to the edge of their cribs to see who neighboured them. After a few minutes of staring and smiling at each other they eventually got out of their beds, and crawled over the torso-high barriers into the next crib touching it until they were all in the same bed. They couldn't speak a word, but they way they were giggling, touching, and making pleasant-sounding babbles it was very clear what was going on.
The next day their parents came to take them home, and to this day those memories remain locked away in their sub-consciences.
