White characters like Faust pony, Rarity, Fleur, Sweetie Belle; they all have grey outlines that contrast with white pretty well. Celestia doesn't; she has this shade of pale pink that makes her look invisible on a white backing. I'd imagine that's why Celestia has all that jewelery and the fancy multi-colour gradient hair in the show; without them she'd blend in with the white walls of her own palace.
I keep the background blank and opaque so that anyone can take my works and edit them into whatever they want on MS Paint. Since I'm pretty much the only guy who makes pics of baby ponies around here I get a ridiculous amounts of requests from people to make their OCs into a baby. ...That being said I'm still getting flooded in requests. I guess it wouldn't hurt to slap on a background. The case used to be that I couldn't find backgrounds over 25 MegaPixels large on google images... let alone 2MP. Let's see what you guys got...
I do really like the Aurora Borealis mane on Celestia but I like to think her pink mane and Luna's light blue mane were liek that when they were fillies. Also do you think the original creator of the My Little Pony franchise could be like, Lauren's OC's mother? It seems weird that the original has never been pony-fied.
I don't see any dire reason to make her hair pink. I theorize her hair has remained the same colour as every other pony throughout the years. Every time Celestia was shown to have pink hair she was drawn in a book; its more likely that the illustrator just got lazy and used pink to prevent the colours from mixing. I'd probably go mad if I had to draw someone with 4 different colours of hair on a gradient throughout an entire book.
eh true enough. like I said just personal thing its your art. and very nicely indeed. I use ms paint for my sprites stuff and even you're still teaching me stuff I didn't know I could do. ms paint is surprisingly underestimated. ^_^
