23 hours and a load of not-sleeping-because-I'm-too-excited later I come up with this. The idea came to me when I thought to myself "what if Sunset Shimmer wasn't always a brat and an arsehole"? You know... dynamic characters and soforth. What could possibly set her off so badly she forces herself to become a recluse in an alternate realm? The result was this headcanon where Sunset Shimmer used to be Celestia's student- and she had her own squad of friends. Then she lost them, all of them, in one fell swoop, and it's at least partially Celestia's fault. I'm also assuming Sunset isn't stupid; there has to be some form of leverage that makes her confident enough to confront an alicorn of that power level. That's where the Alicorn Amulet comes in. If someone can wreck a living God in a 1v1 she has every right to be cocky.

I know the MLP community doesn't like anything that conveys negative emotions, but I'm rather proud of this piece no matter what becomes of it.

Also Bad Guy by Eminem is a paragon rap song- the end is ridiculous. If anyone's familiar with Stan, this is a sequel to it, and I've been listening to this on loop all through out this.

Backgrounds were drawn by me, and the rest of the vectors were heavily modded combinations of several vectors that either I made myself or meshed several together to make something completely different. Technically by that definition adding a new mane/colour scheme to a pony is enough to warrant as its own original work, but at the same time these guys literally halved the amount of time needed to make this happen otherwise. A thank you would be in order for all these folks.
